Information about Individual

William Bredendick was born in Germany during 1856. He departed Germany for the United States at the age of 14. He departed from Bremen, Germany aboard the Union. The ship stopped in Southampton, England and arrived in New York on 22 November 1869.

In 1970, he was living in a boarding house owned by William Hesse in Winchester, Wisconsin. His sister Williamina also boarded there.1

William married Ernestine Bredendick in 1886. He was naturalized in 1893. At least by 1910, he was able to read, write, and speak English.

By 1905, he was living in Birnamwood, Wisconsin working as a farmer and by 1920 we know he owned his own farm. In 1930, William and his wife were living with their daughter Ernestine. son-in-law Richard Aggen, and grandson Arville.

William died in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on 23 June 1937 at the home of his daughter Louise. The cause of death was bronchial pneumonia.
